"You may not remember me, but I was a student that was more worried about trying to sign a pro volleyball contract than handing in assignments. I had a talk with you in your office, and you reminded me not to give up and keep pushing to get what I want, as well as switching agents. At the time, I didn't know of any other volleyball agents in Canada and since my first agent wasn't doing his job I felt pretty helpless. I've had to battle for everything I've achieved in my career, so needless to say there was no quit in me. Last summer I ended up getting a new agent, and within a month I was signed to a pro volleyball contract in October. So I'm living the dream, and getting paid to do it. It's been quite the experience so far, and I'm loving every minute of it. It's great to get encouragement from people outside of the sport. Even though you really didn't know much about me, you gave me the support and encouragement that I needed. I really appreciate it.
